Hi, I’m LaTreece. I’ve been where you are—feeling like life is too much to handle. And I know that finding someone who listens and genuinely cares can make all the difference. I have worked in the helping profession for over 15 years, including 3 years of experience in private practice as a licensed counselor. I specialize in helping people like you overcome trauma, manage anxiety and depression, and deal with life’s transitions. Before private practice, I worked with adolescents and families in the Dallas ISD and at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. I learned that everyone’s story matters, and you deserve to tell yours in a space where you’ll feel heard and understood.
Therapy is about more than just talking. It’s about creating a space where you can safely explore your past and present, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and work together to create positive change. My goal is to help you reclaim your voice, find clarity, and start living a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are.
My mission is simple: to create a space where you feel empowered to reflect on your experiences, heal from past wounds, and build a meaningful life moving forward.
Please reach us at latreecerosscounselingservices@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Your first session will focus on getting to know each other. I’ll ask about your background, current concerns, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we’ll start creating a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs.
Yes! Virtual therapy offers the same level of care and support as in-person sessions, with the added benefit of convenience and flexibility. Research shows that virtual counseling is just as effective for addressing mental health concerns, and you can attend sessions from wherever you feel most comfortable.
The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some clients may only need a few sessions to work through a specific issue, while others may engage in longer-term therapy for deeper healing and personal growth. We’ll regularly assess your progress and adjust as needed.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to handle a particular challenge, therapy can provide you with tools, support, and guidance to navigate life’s difficulties. If you’re unsure, we can discuss your concerns during a consultation to see if therapy is a good fit for you.
Yes, I accept Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), United Healthcare, and Magellan insurance plans. If you have a different insurance provider, I can provide you with a receipt for services that you can submit for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan. Please check with your insurance company to confirm your benefits and coverage for mental health services.
Sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Once you schedule an appointment, I’ll send you a link to access your session. It’s simple and easy to use, and you’ll have the flexibility to join from wherever you feel most comfortable.
I ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows me to offer your time slot to another client who may need it.
Yes! I work with individuals across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and older adults. I also offer family counseling to help families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and build stronger relationships.
You can easily schedule an appointment by reaching out to me via the contact form to set up a time that works for you.
